Equitas hosted the Speaking Rights 2019 forum to engage with young changemakers from across Canada.
From May 8 to 10, Equitas hosted the Speaking Rights National Youth Changemaker Forum in Toronto, an event that brings together more than 150 young leaders from across Canada. Youth from 11 partner organizations across Canada gathered in Toronto to participate in the three-day event. During the Forum, Equitas hosted a public event on Thursday, May 9, where these young leaders presented their community action projects. It was an opportunity to communicate with them to better understand how issues such as mental health, sexual harassment and violence, refugee welfare, the representation of youth and women in power, and the identities and rights of LGBTQ2S affect various members of the community … and what we can do about it.
