Prevention Review

This review reports on prevention publications for the year 2022 and will allow for an annual follow-up of the evolution of scientific production on the subject of prevention. This review therefore targets scientific articles whose primary or secondary objective is the prevention of violent radicalization and extremism. Only scientific articles have been selected; bibliographies, reviews or reviews of articles are, therefore, excluded from the annual review.

The review distinguishes between articles that have primary prevention as their main topic and those that address it in a secondary manner, for example, in the conclusion of the article. The review also includes the geographic and disciplinary origin of the authors and the regions of the world covered by the articles. It also presents the methodology and the definition of the terminology used. In addition, the results are divided between articles that focus on prevention in general and those that focus specifically on prevention and online radicalization.
