The Centre d’expertise et de formation sur les intégrismes religieux, les idéologies politiques et la radicalisation (CEFIR), in partnership with the UNESCO Chair in the Prevention of Violent Radicalization and Extremism and the Royal Military College Saint-Jean, is launching a call for papers for its symposium entitled Extremism and the Armed Forces. This event, which will take place on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, aims to allow for the dissemination of knowledge in addition to creating a day of discussion and exchange around ideas and research results. The conference will be held in a hybrid format, with Canadian speakers meeting at Cégep Édouard-Montpetit, in room A. Lassonde (C-30), while international speakers will participate by videoconference. The colloquium is intended to be francophone, but it is possible that some of the presentations will be made in English, and if so, they will of course be subtitled. Presentations will be of a maximum of 20 minutes in length.
The deadline for the call for papers is February 13, 2022 at 12:00 pm.
Those interested in submitting a paper are invited to send the following information to [email protected]:
– Last name, first name, function / professional title, department, institution.
