Prestigious FRQSC Grant for Concordia’s CSLP

Concordia University’s Centre for the Study of Learning and Performance (CSLP) has received a prestigious grant of $1.8 million spread over the next seven (7) years from the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture (FRQSC), one of the province’s most renowned research funding institutions.

Vivek Venkatesh, co-holder of the UNESCO-PREV Chair and Director of CLSP and Project SOMEONE, says the grant is excellent news, as Project SOMEONE and the UNESCO-PREV Chair are key initiatives of this research centre.

About the CLSP

The mission of the Centre for the Study of Learning and Performance (CSLP) is to conduct research on teaching and learning processes. Working with community and nongovernmental organizations, school boards, policy-making bodies, mental and social health service providers as well as public safety organizations, the CSLP’s overall focus is to develop evidence-based tools and strategies that would positively impact our society.
