The Chaire Cultures, Sociétés et Faits Religieux de l’Université internationale de Rabat co-organized the international symposium “Violence and the End of Violence in Mediterranean and sub-Saharan Africa.”
This event, co-organized by the Maison de Sciences de l’Homme Foundation and the International University of Rabat (Chair of Cultures, Societies and Religious Facts), was held on April 18 and 19, 2019 in Rabat. Researchers from the African regions concerned, but also those from Europe, the Middle East and America came together to discuss and analyze the issue of extreme violence in its many dimensions to highlight the conditions for exiting violence. The aim was to create a space for exchange between civil society, institutions and groups in order to decompartmentalize perceptions and propose practical steps and good practices that are transferable and adaptable to local situations.
