“5 Months of Pandemic: An Assessment” with Our Head of Media Division

Location: Online

Start Date:

To mark the start of the new academic year, the Institut d’études internationales de Montréal (IEIM) wishes to highlight its many contributions to the production and dissemination of knowledge, as well as to public debate, notably through monitoring and research, during the last months. Through a round table discussion to be held on September 2, 2020, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m., representatives of the IEIM research units are invited to share and discuss their empirical work, analyses and projections.

Marie-Ève Carignan, Director of the Media Division for the UNESCO-PREV Chair, will address issues relating to conspiracy theories in the context of the pandemic.

The discussion will provide an overview of the current situation and the contributions of research centers, as well as address the issues that must be anticipated for the coming year, both in Quebec and from a global perspective. The round table is intended for the academic community and the general public, and will be recorded and rebroadcast at a later date by IEIM.
