The symposium “Extremism, populism and conspiracy theories: the impacts of the pandemic on democracy” will be held on September 21 and 22 at Cégep Édouard-Montpetit.
The event will bring together researchers from Quebec and abroad from many disciplines (sociology, anthropology, psychology, political science, philosophy, criminology, etc.), who will reflect together in order to explore the phenomenon in its multiple facets.
The event is organized by CEFIR, in partnership with the UNESCO-PREV Chair, the Centre for the Prevention of Radicalization Leading to Violence (CPRMV) and the Research and Action on Social Polarization (RAPS) team.
