Report by the Fundación Ideas para la Paz (FIP) [Ideas for Peace Foundation] on the project – From Capitol to Territory: A Bridge Between Congress and the Most Vulnerable Regions.
For six months, 16 congressional members from eight politically aligned parties critical of the peace process, traveled to municipalities in five regions to learn directly about the progress and challenges to implementing the Peace Agreement. This project is supported by the
Technical Secretariat of the Ideas for Peace Foundation (FIP), the British Embassy and the International Republican Institute (IRI).
Through these visits, members of Congress seek to verify first-hand the progress made in the development of public policies on key issues for peacebuilding, including: the perception of the implementation of the Agreement and the changes it brings to the regions; the security situation and its main challenges; the situation of social leaders and respect for the rights of victims.
