The Centre sur la sécurité internationale (CSI) of the École supérieure d’études internationales (ÉSÉI), in partnership with the Chair, the Canadian Defense and Security Network and the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, presents the first edition of the International Summer School on Political Extremists. This is an intensive training of seven (7) consecutive days, from Sunday to Saturday. The training is characterized by a multidisciplinary approach (political science, law, economics, public administration, criminology, etc.) and oriented towards a concrete study of contemporary practices aimed at preventing or responding to various forms of extremism. Replacing the former Summer School on Terrorism, which was held between 2009 and 2019, this new School aims to cover a broader field, including more social movements likely to destabilize political institutions or social peace.
