Mathieu Colin, postdoctoral researcher at the UNESCO-PREV Chair, will give a lecture on March 19 entitled “La cabale satanique: de l’usage des théories du complot comme outil de déstabilisation démocratique” as a part of the Midi-CRIDAQ. He will discuss the history of devil- and Satanism-themed moral panics, before looking at how conspiracy theories on this subject are currently being used to target progressive issues, social groups or institutions.
