The UNESCO-PREV Chair promotes the networking of centres of expertise and communities of practice in order to facilitate exchanges and collaboration, at the national and international levels, in the context of prevention of violent radicalization and extremism.

The UNESCO-PREV Chair stimulates the development of evidence-based research and knowledge in order to improve strategies and tools available to prevent violent radicalization and extremism.

The UNESCO-PREV Chair supports programs and training, based on best practices and adapted to local contexts, to strengthen the capacities of key stakeholders.

The UNESCO-PREV Chair raises awareness and transfers knowledge to decision makers, practitioners, public and media.
