On May 2, 2022 will be held, with the participation of our director of the media pole, Marie-Ève Carignan, the panel: ” Discours complotiste ou répression des débats : éviter l’amalgame entre perspective critique et désinformation “

This activity is in collaboration with the department of literature and social communication of the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR). The panel will be moderated by Jason Luckerhoff, full professor in social communication at UQTR.

Three researchers will participate in the discussion:

Vincent Raynauld, associate professor in the Department of Communication at Emerson College and associate professor in the Department of Humanities and Social Communication at UQTR.
Mireille Lalancette, professor of political communication at UQTR and member of the Groupe de recherche en communication politique.
Marie-Ève Carignan, Associate Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Sherbrooke and Director of the Media Unit of the UNESCO Chair in the Prevention of Violent Radicalization and Extremism (UNESCO-PREV Chair).
Three journalists will also be present: Paule Vermot-Desroches from Le Nouvelliste, Jean-Philippe Nadeau from Radio-Canada and Marc-André Pelletier from Noovo info.

The activity will take place on the Zoom platform, on May 2, 2022, at 12:00 pm
