On April 20, 2022, our co-holder, Prof. David Morin, participated in a bilingual symposium about “Extremism and the Armed Forces” in collaboration with CEFIR and Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean. He talked about the rise of right-wing extremism in the West.

Our co-holder David Morin was heard as an expert, on April 28, in a public intervention in front of the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security of the House of Commons

Our co-holder Vivek Venkatesh has been invited by UNESCO to participate in a Regional Technical Consultation for Europe and America. This consultation will involve proposing changes to be made to the Recommendation concerning education for international understanding, co-operation and peace and education relating to human rights and fundamental freedoms.

The Honorable Pablo Rodriguez, Minister of Canadian Heritage, and David Lametti, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, announced the creation of a new Expert Advisory Panel on Online Safety on which our co-holders Ghayda Hassan and David Morin were selected.
